Getting Started

Thank you for considering therapy with me.
Before we book a session, I invite you to pause and read through the way I work—so you can get a sense of whether this space feels right for you.

I believe the beginning matters.

Therapy is a vulnerable commitment, and the process works best when we’re both clear on what’s being offered and what’s being asked in return.

What I Offer

My practice is a quiet, intentional space for people seeking trauma-informed, reflective, and emotionally focused therapy. I hold space for individuals navigating complex trauma, grief, identity shifts, nervous system dysregulation and mood issues such as anxiety, depression and anger.

I work with a small number of clients at a time, so that I can be fully present in the work. Because of this, I’m thoughtful about who I take on as and I value a mutual sense of fit and clarity.

Structure & Commitment

If, after our first session we agree that Paper Daisy is a good fit for you, I offer therapy in 6-session blocks, with sessions occurring at least monthly but ideally fortnightly initially to protect the depth and sustainability of the work.

If you’re not looking for regular sessions, you’re welcome to reach out for ad hoc support as needed—but I don’t hold ongoing space for clients I see less than once a month.

Therapy is most effective when we have a shared sense of focus. You don’t need to have all the answers—but a general direction or area you’d like to explore is important. If you’re unsure, I can help you clarify this in the early sessions.

Who I Work Best With

You might be a good fit for this space if you:

  • Are ready for ongoing therapy and reflection

  • Want to explore the deeper layers of your story

  • Are open to integrating body-based awareness and nervous system support

  • Value honesty, gentleness, and emotional presence

  • Understand that healing takes time and doesn’t follow a straight line

Who This Space May Not Suit

This may not be the right fit if you’re:

  • Looking for one-off sessions or immediate crisis support

  • Wanting a highly structured, goal-focused, or performance-oriented approach

  • Unavailable for regular engagement

  • Seeking therapy for someone else’s concerns, rather than your own

Next Steps

If you’ve read through this and feel like this might be the right place for the work you’re ready to do, I invite you to reach out.

You can contact me by replying through to the form below. From there, we can begin shaping a space and a plan that can support you.

There’s no pressure, and no rush.

This is an invitation—not an expectation.

Cancellation & Missed Appointment Policy

Life happens and sometimes, despite best intentions, appointments can be missed or need to be cancelled. I understand that. My aim is always to approach these situations with empathy, while also maintaining the integrity and sustainability of my practice.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows me the opportunity to offer the appointment to someone else who may be waiting for support.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or not attended, will incur the full session fee. Please note that if your sessions are being funded by a third part such as WorkCover, this cost would be your personal responsibility.

As a sole trader, I hold a limited number of spaces each week and often have clients in need of time-sensitive support. Late cancellations reduce my ability to offer care to others and affect the sustainability of this work. I deeply appreciate your care and consideration in honouring this policy.
